Stacy Peterson Blue Barrel

On October 26th Stacy Peterson went missing. A relative of Drew helped him move a warm container from the House at the same time as the disappearance. The relative felt he may have unwittingly helped Drew move the body out of the house. Later, it was reportedly a “blue barrel,” and there have been conflicting reports in the media.

On the night of January 25th a contract worker was taking soil samples in a Lyons, Illinois; at a location very near the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. This is the same canal that police divers were looking for evidence in this case before the search was called off late last year. The contract worker found human remains and a blue barrel in the vicinity of the body.

Human remains will allow DNA evidence to be collected from either the remains or the blue barrel to determine if the body found is the remains of Stacy Peterson. CNN talked to Joel Brodsky who maintained they are certain this is not the remains of Stacy. The defense hold thier stand that Stacy ran off with a boyfriend, perhaps even to another country -thailand has been suggested. Brodsky explained that police already told the people working on the Stacy Peterson case that they don’t believe there is any need for them to get involved.

theFutonPoncho will keep abreast of the situation and report as the news unfolds. Mistypes: Stacey Petersen Joel Brodski, Joel Broadsky

  • How much do you want to bet that they will find Drew’s DNA in the barrel found near the decomposing body?
It has to be her. I think this is going to put a real crimp in Drew’s pursuit for a new love.
I hope he gets the death penalty.

  • How could Drew’s attorney be SURE it was not Stacy, IF, they do not know where Stacy is? That was almost thumbing his nose at the authorities, in saying “I KNOW it isn’t her…because that isn’t where she is.”

  • The Illinois police department seems to be as competent as the Aruba (where Halloway disappeared) police department.

Why can’t they solve crimes? Because they believe dead men don’t pay state tax.

  • The woman found was neither Stacy Peterson nor Lisa Stebic. There was also no sign of a Blue Barrel found at the scene. They have no information about who the person is at this time.
